Note to presenters, Be Active 09 Physical activity conference
Dear Presenters,
For a number of reasons, including being synchronous with the other parts of the conference [Sports Medicine, Injury] we are suggesting that all oral presentations be standardized to 8 minutes. This is taking 2 minutes away from the originally suggested 10 mins but, we have an intelligent and developed physical activity audience.
So, omit your three or four intro slides that say that physical activity [or obesity] are important issues and too few Australian [adults/children] are sufficiently active... Omit those slides, get to your research question, main idea, main theme earlier, and then 8 minutes wont seem so short.
This will allow more of you to have oral presentations, and also will standardize the time, so others from other parts of the conference can come to individual presentations.
If there are any problems, [and you have 3 months to prepare this !] please get in touch with me.
Kind regards
Adrian
